Feed the Body: Orange

The Sacral Chakra is associated with orange coloured fruit and veggies, a light salmon protein, seeds and nuts, fats and oils, warming spices, honey and carob.  This chakra reflects water foods grown above ground that have carotenoids such as beta-carotene.  Carotenoids  protect cell membrane and supports fat absorption.

Remember the ways of integrating foods using the colour spectrum are:

  1.  Combining coloured foods on one plate
  2.  Eating foods at set times without combining colours
  3.  Eating one colour spectrum for the day.

Breaking this down into levels it would be as follows:

  1.  Mild introduction and integration plan of feeding the body with coloured foods.
  2.  Intermediate planning for feeding the body with coloured foods as a lifestyle.
  3.  Cleansing plan for the body chakras for clearing and integration.

Living foods are highly recommended in these suggestions.  Obtaining foods as close to the source as possible will increase the nutrition value absorbed by your body.

Let’s look at some food choices and combining for the the 3rd Sacral Chakra oranges.

Morning Drinks

Combine with red and yellow foods

  • Carob & Almond Milk(coffee substitute)

  • Orange Juice


Fruits

Eat fresh whole fruit, cut and in bowl combination or in smoothie:

Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Yams, Pumpkin, Squash, Orange Pepper
